- No, you can follow most of the course using the free version of CapCut.
- However, the auto-captions feature (covered in the Captions lesson) is currently only available in CapCut Pro.
- If captions are essential to your workflow, consider upgrading—but it's not required to learn the fundamentals.
❓ 2. Can I Edit on My Phone or Do I Need a Computer?
- This course is designed for phone-first editing. You can complete everything using just CapCut on your mobile device.
- That said, CapCut also has a desktop version. Some features—like transcript editing—work better on desktop. Use whichever fits your workflow.

- This course is beginner-friendly. I walk you through my entire editing process step by step, layer by layer.
